This course is for beginners: it covers everything you need to know to build good spreadsheets. The course has 9 modules:

What’s in Excel?

  • Starting the program
  • A tour of the main Excel screen and a quick look at each of the icons
  • Workbooks and Worksheets – opening, modifying, saving, finding, naming
  • Workbook Properties – the settings which control access and track usage

  • Navigating around a Worksheet
  • How Excel recognizes data – numeric or text
  • Entering data – text, numbers, dates and times, symbols
